A game-like snapchat ad highlighting the new characters in the movie Lightyear.

The process of making the ad included a kickoff, brainstorm, research, storyboards, feedback, and the delivery of the final design.
The art direction is inspired by the spaceship and mission control UI graphics in the film and sci-fi video game design.
Storyboards are used to show key stakeholders proof of concept. In this ad, Buzz is introduced as a familiar icon and new characters follow as if you were selecting them as avatars in a video game.
After feedback from stakeholders, refined static designs were handed off to the motion team to animate and edit with constant communication and collaboration for the final result. Users tap on the discover tile and the ad plays.
